Darling Dingoes are an Australian men’s Twenty20 franchise cricket team that competes in an independent and privatised Twenty20 cricket competition, the Brisbane Premier League (BPL). Covering the Darling Downs region in the state of Queensland, the Dingoes wear an orange uniform. The team plays in the Senior competition, while the Dingoes also feature multiple junior age groups including U12s, U13s, U15s, U17s for males and U23s for females.
The Dingoes were formed in 2021 to play in the inaugural Brisbane Premier League competition. The inaugural captain was Steven McGiffin, who played two matches for the Brisbane Heat during the 2021-22 Big Bash League season after 12 players were ruled out with COVID-19. Other notable players include 2023-24 Queensland Bulls player Aryan Jain, and former Queensland Bulls players Sam Truloff and Corey Hunter.
The Dingoes won five out of six games during a successful inaugural season that saw them reach the Grand Final of the 2021 Brisbane Premier League. However, they were beaten in that match by eventual champions Gold Coast Waveriders by 39 runs. A disappointing season followed in 2022 with the team finishing last in Pool B with just one win. In 2023, the Dingoes again finished at the bottom of the ladder with just one win in Pool A.
